Dr. Benoît Chazal

 

A native of France, Benoît holds a MA in Modern Languages and is certified by the French Ministry of Education (CAPES). He also holds a Latin Studies PhD and has been working as a teacher for over ten years. He gave French Literature, Theatre and Latin classes in junior high schools and high schools and has been teaching French language to foreign students.

At University Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3, he used to give undergraduate classes: “Oral and Argumentation Training” for Licence 1 (Department of French and Latin Literature and Linguistics),“Recitation of Theatrical 17th Century Texts” and “Recitation of Fables by La Fontaine” for « les stages de pré-rentrée de Licence 1 » “Linguistics for the Professional License” and “Guidance in Professional and Private Writing, Writing Consultant” in the Department of Cultural Mediation.

He has been giving private lessons for several years to middle and high school students preparing for exams, or following CNED courses, and living in France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Spain…

Associate member of several research organisations in Classics, he gave lectures in Mexico City (National Autonomous University of Mexico), the United States (University of Chicago) and the United Kingdom (King’s College).

He speaks English and Spanish fluently and knows the basics of Italian. He also holds diplomas in Ancient Languages (Latin and Ancient Greek) from the University Paris Nanterre.
